Arts (20 hours), I've also explored Trauma Sensitive Yoga and yoga for individuals living with a brain injury. Until the pandemic, I taught monthly Chair Yoga classes at the NM Brain Injury Resource Center in Albuquerque. Additionally, I've studied and chanted the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and the Baghavad Gita with Linda Spackman.
Most recently, I've delved more deeply into balance and fall prevention with a certification in Connecting With Balance, a program developed by the dance company Pilobolus.
I give a deep bow of appreciation to all my teachers, but especially Melissa Spamer, Donna Farhi, Angela Farmer, Carrie Owerko, Rama Jyoti Vernon and Tias and Surya Little, Beth Lewis and Emily Kent.
In my off hours, I enjoy tending my garden and spending time in nature as well as writing, creating artist books and processing my dreams in a weekly dream group. But one of my greatest passions has been travel. I've trekked in Nepal and Tibet, explored rock art sites all over Australia, visited prehistoric caves in northern Spain and southwestern France, traveled to the Galapagos, been part of a textile research team in Ecuador, and dug for garden remains in Pompeii. But after my three visits to Ireland, I can easily say that country is where I feel most rooted and at home spiritually.
